25.01.2016 Telema is a member of INFOBALT in Lithuania
In January 2016, Telema joined Lithuanian ICT association INFOBALT with the aim of spreading EDI knowledge on the market. Experience sharing now is vital, since Lithuanian Tax Inspectorate is about to lauch their paperless tax administration project i.MAS.
Telema and INFOBALT share a similar mission - to promote the use of IT for the benefit of society, businesses and public sector. Telema's Country Manager in Lithuania comments: "Membership in INFOBALT will allow us to contribute to the development of the information society. Through INFOBALT we also hope to contribute to the State's i.MAS project."

In Lithuania, there are many more opportunities for implementing IT-solutions. However, technological innovation is willingly accepted only when there is a clear understanding of the benefits. Telema believes in promoting the understanding by sharing the best practice and developing the "e-culture". For example, Electronic data interchange penetration in Lithuania is less than 10%. It means that majority of businesses could inprove their processes and save resources. Our goal is to educate Lithuanian traders on the benefits of EDI.

Founded in 1994, INFOBALT is a locally and internationally recognized representative of Lithuanian ICT industry. The association has more than 140 members, including national and global businesses, universities, colleges and research institutions.
